ImageHospice cares not only for patients, but also supports their loved ones as they cope with changes and grieve a loss. Optimal Hospice Care offers a comprehensive bereavement care program for these family members and caregivers. This program includes the following:

Bereavement services personnel check in with letters and phone calls for at least thirteen months after the loss of a loved one to provide continued support through the grieving process.

Grief support groups, open to the community and free of charge, feature a small, local setting for people to journey through the stages of grief together.

Annual remembrance celebrations honor loved ones, including those who have already passed on and those that are still with us. Hospice encourages the community to take part in this free event at their local location to celebrate and honor the lives of loved ones.

Kids Camp, a program provided by Optimal Hospice Foundation, offers young people who have suffered the loss of an immediate family member in the past year an opportunity to spend time with other children who share a similar experience. This unique camp includes many fun-filled outdoor activities for them to enjoy, but also provides a safe, encouraging environment for them to address their feelings and emotions.
